Heather is an accomplished equestrian rider, trainer, coach and owner of Sand Cherry Stables. Beginning at 6 years old, her early years were spent taking countless lessons and learning under and riding with Grand Prix and “A” circuit professionals. Heather has a vast experience with all types including ponies, quarter horses, thoroughbreds, warmbloods and more since early childhood. Upon invitation, she spent time working at the Ocala HITS Showgrounds in Florida where internationally classed horses were boarded and trained. Although concentrating on Hunter/Jumper, she has also spent significant time training in dressage, natural horsemanship, and western style riding. She continues to expand her skills and recently added reining to her list of riding styles. Knowledgeable in equine care, feeding, grooming, and reproduction, Heather has also raised, trained, and bred many fabulous mounts that have gone on to win National titles. Heather understands the discipline, dedication and safety awareness necessary to succeed and enjoy horsemanship to whatever level the rider aspires.
